Hanuman Chalisa Chaupai -15
Jama kubera digpala jahan te ,
Kabi kobida kahi sake kahan te .
Yama, the god of death, Kubera, the god of wealth , Digpalas , the guardian deities of all directions are unable to describe your glories, how can, then , mortal poets and scholars do ?
Digpalas are the guardian deities of the directions of the world namely Indra for east , Agni for south - east , Yama for south, Nairuti for south-west , Varuna for west , Marut for north -west , Kubera for north and Isha for north-east .
Even such powerful deities cannot fully describe Hanuman's glory because his glory is unlimited and beyond description in and by words which are limited . With great humility, the poet says however mortal poets and scholars try to describe it, they cannot do full justification because their power of description is very limited .
