         Tuma upakara sugrivahi kinha ,

         Rama  milaya raja pada dinha .

You rendered an invaluable service to Sugriva by introducing him to Shri Rama and restoring him to kingship.

Sugriva was the king of monkeys. His brother Vali drove out Sugriva from his kingdom and took away his wife also. Sugriva , out of fear from his elder brother was running here and there and started living at Rishyamuka mountain where Vali could not enter because of some curse on him. Vali sent some one or the other to kill Sugriva there . When Sugriva saw Rama and Lakshmana in the guise of ascetics in the forest , he was afraid and thought that they were sent by Vali to kill him. That time Hanuman, his minister pacified him not to assume them as his enemies . Sugriva sent Hanuman to find out the truth. Hanuman won the confidence of Rama by his remarkable qualities and brought Rama to Sugriva and forged a friendship between them. Rama then killed Vali and Sugriva was crowned the king of Kishkindha.

Thus by introducing Rama to Sugriva, Hanuman freed Sugriva from the fear of Vali  for eternity . Sugriva also realized the supreme truth and set an example of maitri bhakti  ( devotion of a friend ) in   the realm of Ramabhakti.

Here Hanuman's excellent quality as a counsellor is brought out. A good counsellor is one who counsels his master for his good and for the welfare of his subjects.
